How It Works

How it works for students

Creating an account with Vannecto is similar to creating an account for other social networks (i.e. Facebook). You will input your information (location, interests, etc) and register your account with our website. Upon completion, we cross-reference this data with thousands of community service providers to find you the perfect fit. Once created, your account will be accessible anytime and anywhere. Your account will view suggested volunteering opportunities and will allow you to easily communicate with the providers of the community service opportunities that you see fit.  Your completed community service hours will be viewed in a sheet that can be printed and sent to the colleges of your choice.

How it works for organizations

Creating an account is simply, fast, and free. The website will have you input necessary information regarding your organization such as the type of organization you are, your location, the type of service you would offer, etc. Doing this, we will be able to cross-reference your information with student profiles and suggest your service opportunities to students accordingly. Once created, your account requires no management. All you have to do it put yourselves out there so that students who want to help can.

Although no further input is “required” for our website, once your account is created, we encourage organizations to post specific “want ads” for volunteers to maximize participation among students and to monitor their account so you can view requests to help out. Messages can, however, be sent directly to another email address outside of our website to receive messages from students desiring to participate in community service. Regardless of your decision, you will always have access to our internal messaging system.

How it works for schools

Upon subscription, an administrator’s account will be created and given to the desired recipient, which can view and manage an entire school’s profile. The account will be accessible at anytime and anywhere, include every student and their completed hours of community service, and will allow guidance counselors to easily communicate with their students collectively or individually. Unlike traditional methods of finding community service, Vannecto allows students to create personalized profiles that include their geographical location, interests, abilities, etc. We then cross-reference this information with an immense database of community service providers to find the best match. Additionally, your students will be able to contact organizations that sponsor the desired service directly with our website. Vannecto also ensures the legitimacy of community service hours by requiring the sponsoring organization and guidance counselor’s confirmation (completed electronically) before the hours will be allotted to the student.

Once desired, Vannecto will allow students to print forms viewing their completed service, which can then be sent to recipient colleges of their choice. Furthermore, our website will rank schools based upon their involvement in community service activity and allows third parties to view the educational institutions that truly value ethic responsibility.
