[+] As a student, do I need to be affiliated with a school?
Yes. Once your school has registered, the specified school administrator will give you a verification code. You will use this verification code when registering. We do this so that all of our community service opportunities are exclusive to you!
[+] How do I register?
Navigate to the top right of the webpage and click "create an account" under the email field.
[+] How do I search for a volunteer opportunity?
As a student, click “Find Volunteer Opportunities” in the
navigation bar. You can then search for local volunteer opportunities by:
keyword, interest, and location.
You’ll then be offered several local community service
opportunities that fit your personalized search. It’s easy to pick your
favorite opportunity by comparing the ratings and reviews left by previous
students.
[+] Who can become a community service provider?
Vannecto is exclusive to nonprofit (tax-exempt) organizations. We require a employer identification number (EIN) during registration to ensure tax exempt status. We do this so registered students are safe when performing community service hours.
[+] How do I log community service hours?
If you’ve completed hours for a community service provider in
Vannecto, you just enter in the date and time of your work, number of hours
you’ve completed, organization name, and a description of the work you did.
Fill these fields out diligently because this information will be used in your
certificate to college! The hours will be verified by the community service
representative of the specified organization.
If you’ve completed hours outside of Vannecto the process is the
same although you’ll be required to enter in a contact email or phone so that
you’re guidance counselor can verify the hours.
[+] How much does it cost?
For community service providers, it's free! All you have to do
is create a profile.
It's free for students too! You do need a verification code from
your school to register though.
