[+] As a student, do I need to be affiliated with a school?
- Yes. Once your school has registered, ask the administrator in charge for a verification code. You will need this code to activate your account.

Navigate to the upper right corner of your screen. You should be able to see a “Create an account” option. Choose whether you are a student, a school administrator or a non-profit organization and then fill in the required details.
[+] How do I search for a volunteer opportunity?
Click on “Find volunteer opportunities” from the navigation bar. Either enter a keyword or place a check on the category that interests you the most. Key in your zip code and the proximity your most comfortable with, then click search. It’s easy to pick the right volunteer task for you by comparing the ratings and reviews left by previous students.
[+] Who can become a community service provider?
Vannecto is exclusive to non-profit (tax-exempt) organizations. We require an Employer Identification Number (EIN) during registration to ensure your tax-exemption status. This ensures that students are working with safe non-profit organizations while doing community service.

How do I log community service hours?
- Once community service hours are completed, you can log your completed task by clicking on the “Log completed hours” button on the navigation bar. Input necessary information such as the date, the time, the name of the organization and etc. Click on “Submit for approval” afterwards. Your log will then be verified by a representative of the specific organization.
Is it possible to log community service hours with an organization not registered with Vannecto?
- Yes. Once community service hours are completed, the process will be the same as before but further contact information (Email, phone number) is required in order for your guidance counselor to verify the completed hours.
[+] How much does it cost?
Does it cost anything to sign up?
- For community service providers, it’s free. All you have to do is create a profile and you’re done.
- For students, it is also free but you do need a verification code form your school to complete registration.
- For schools, it costs $350 (net) per year to register your entire school and to make use of our services.
As a student, if my school is not registered and I don't have a verification code, can I still make a profile?
- No. In order for us to ensure safety for both organization and student, we require an administrator from your school to oversee the entire process of your volunteer work.
How do I pay if I want to register?
- Click on “Billing/Renewal” which can be found on the navigation bar once you have signed up. You have two options: online payment (credit card/ e-check) and you may pay with a physical check or money order (post-mail).
